This feature of Instagram will protect you from offensive comments and messages

Photo sharing app Instagram has released a new feature. This feature is named Anti-Abuse. As the name suggests, this feature will prevent users from viewing abusive content. Abuse content includes racist, sexist, homophobic, and other types of abuse.

The head of Instagram said about this in a blog post. With Instagram’s new feature, people will be given the ability to limit comments and DM requests. Instagram will alert the user who makes a potentially offensive comment.

Apart from this, it also has a Hidden Words feature. With this, users can filter DM requests of offensive words. Mosseri, head of Instagram, said in a blog post that the limit feature can be easily turned on or off.

This feature will automatically hide DM requests and comments from users who do not follow. This will be very useful in a situation where people suddenly get a lot of DMs and comments from people they don’t know.

Similarly, no creators will need to turn off messages or comments from the limit feature.

This will limit the number of people who are targeting users’ accounts. The Hidden Words feature will transfer offensive words, phrases, and emojis to hidden folders. The company says that users will feel safer after the new features come out.
